News and Events

Afrisoc organises interesting events all year round. Whether you have a passion talks, seminars, film screenings, parties or dinners, there is something for you. Find out what is coming next in our searchable events calendar.

Have your say

Members of the society are invited to a General Meeting every term to discuss the current affairs of the society. One Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held in Trinity Term to comment on the activities of the past year and chose the committee of the following academic year.

All committee members are approachable for information and to give or request advice.

There are many ways to be involved with the society even after leaving the university.

If you are still in Oxford or close, then you are invited to participate in all events organised for current students.

If you are leaving, we would still like to stay connected. Please share your contacts with us using the form below. It will be a way for both you and us to grow our networks and increase the opportunities we can provide new members. You will also receive an alumni dedicated newsletter.

The Oxford University Africa Society (AfriSoc) is a student-operated club at the University of Oxford. All of our programming is done by volunteers. Send us an e-mail to learn more about ways to support the core programming and mission of the Society at Oxford and abroad:
